JAKARTA Jazz Festival aims to improve the image of the city of Bekasi. This festival also enhance the development of jazz music in the country, especially in Calcutta, to be able to show the ability of Bekasi Jazz festival in 2010. Through this event the young musicians can continue digging abilities while learning from the experiences and performances of the senior jazz musicians who perform at this event. It is expected to grow and the development of Indonesian jazz musicians who are able to excel in the international world.
Y2K Jazz Community consisting of Indonesian jazz musicians residing in Calcutta would like to contribute by providing a healthy and intelligent entertainment as an alternative to the public option and to increase people's appreciation of jazz music by organizing Bekasi Jazz Festival.
The concept of jazz music that was held consisting of the mainstream, pop jazz, fussion, blues, latin jazz, rock and jazz, that approach through the concept of light jazz music (light jazz). This concept was chosen to bridge communities enjoy jazz music through light jazz music.
